in the story proper they did give flashman some sort of hair fascination/jealousy but before they got to explore it further (and give him a proper fight scene), quickman shoots him the back. in a later issue, flashman hasn’t forgiven quickman for that so it’s a comedy fodder of sorts for the end of comic strips for the writers to give quickman a gorgeous set of hair just to mess with flashman even further XP
