Since both the start of this comic, Time to Shine and Friendship Games show her walking to school from a home, I’m assuming that she did this because she was too afraid of getting jumped on the way home.

Insane demon girl attacks, crazy Sirens enslaving everyone, the entire Front of the school RIPPED OFF, and homeless vagrants sleeping inside of it like its their home.
