Sometimes…it’s just really fun to make speculations!
It’s a talking point, but whether or not it’s Killryde or not isn’t too important. For my own personal sake, I kinda hope it is Killryde only because I’d know that Killryde is OK. I don’t mind if an artist just decides to stop doing pony art or posting art altogether. But I just like knowing they’re doing alright.
If Killryde posted a Rarity on his Tumblr flipping the viewer off saying “This is my last art piece bye,” I’d be fine. Not that I’m losing sleep either way, I guess.
Fair enough. I don’t care whether they’re the same person or not.
Personally I don’t care much. If they’re not the same person, then good: we lost Killryde but we gained Ponut Joe.
If they’re the same person, that’s great too! And if he’s more comfortable with a new identity, then be it.
I honestly don’t think we should even question about it anymore, and I hope everyone will understand this. I wouldn’t be surprised if all this questioning is actually bothering Ponut Joe.
There’ll probably be at least one or two every pic. But regardless of whether or not they’re the same pony, they do amazing art, this pic being one of the best~
Yeah, styles do evolve. Between Killryde’s initial EqG pictures, and Ponut Joe’s appearance, he had been drawing Monster High art as well. I believe at this point, that Kill thought his art had evolved enough to be told apart from his old stuff, so he made the name change. It’s not changed /that/ much though. I mean, his handwriting’s even the same. Ponies are still gonna see the similarities.
So far, I’ve noticed one small but constant difference between Killryde’s and Ponut’s styles.
Styles evolve, though, so it may not mean anything.
If Ponut Joe actually is Killryde, I wonder when/if he’ll reveal it.
If it is, his style has improved by leaps and bounds. There’s a lightness to the stroke work I find appealing.
If it’s not… well it’s still damn good.

Quite a few people have noticed Killryde similarities with this artist. Some have even theorized that Ponut Joe is in fact Killryde.
