Description
Once Monsters …always monsters?
The scene here takes place shortly after the events in the two fics I’ve written, and is a followup to a brief story which Sunset shares with Twilight in Messenger.
As some additional background:
The idea here is that some time after Sunset and Adagio end up becoming friends, Adagio takes her back to the cafe from the opening scene of the movie. Sitting in that same booth as before, she shares with Sunset the view out this window all those months ago. And this naturally digs up some old and unwanted memories for Sunset… But there is also some comfort in knowing that she and Adagio really do share a common bond, and can support one another as they move on from those shadows of their past.

Sunset: places her hand on Adagio’s shoulder with a sad smile No, Adagio. It took a monster to SAVE a monster.
The Siren and the demoness smile at each other in a comfortable silence at the diner. For once, neither cared what their respective groups thought about their friendship. A friendship between two monsters.
