Anyway, here’s my contribution to the cutethread.
I personally disagree, I think his writing advice looks fine, but then again, I laughed at both the Grown Ups Adam Sandler movies, so what do I know, let’s just not argue.
And also the fans who do nothing but copy and paste his opinions onto something
theyhe doesn’t like. Take the imdb review on Shorty McShort Shorts for example. I never liked them even when I did like MrEnter. One things for sure, MrEnter is also in a very, VERY low position (at best) to give writing advice.Sort of, really its just the idiots who only watch him because he has the same opinion as them, and would probably end up saying “oh he used to be so good” when he pans something they like.
I’d say it’s more of his fans that represent everything wrong with the internet.
I can see the seriousness, but I haven’t seen anything with his opinions of himself one way or the other.
That being said, if that is what is wrong with the internet, then I have a couple of people I reeeeeaaaaally need to show you.
My main problem with him is that he takes everything way too seriously and has too high an opinion of himself.
Necroposting is life.
Why has this site had so much necroposting lately?
That’s great.
……you…uh…you gonna say WHY you think the man is shit or are you just gonna put down “dis guy suxxorz” and just assume we’re all gonna agree with you?
It’s like they made entire characters specifically for the purpose of being dicks to Flutters. The same effect could have been achieved with Fluttershy wanting to do something but being too scared cause she could have offended someone else or something.
Other than that, I don’t care for the episode one way or the other. It has some problems here and there, but I felt Iron Will compensates for them pretty well, soooo…meh.
this kind of episode relates to people like me who have undergone the same train of thought and experiences Fluttershy went through, so expecting me to say “it doesn’t do this concept justice” is downright silly and I’ll have you know, people challenged that view with their all so mighty experience of hear-say (from a particular reviewer), as opposed to first hand experience. Because nothing says you’re more experienced in human psychology than reading a book and not the full book mind you, just the title of said chapters AS WELL as reading said titles without even bothering looking up in the dictionary what each psychological condition even means, or you know, actually reading through each chapter to understand why the title and what does it mean.
these world encompassing, opinionated drones of reviewers are probably easiest to find on youtube, if you’ve taken enough brain acid to get into a conversation with them there.
other than that, feel free to feel however way you want about that episode, I personally think it’s a great episode and one of the top 5 of season 2, wherever it may place in this top list that I in no way just made up now.
and no, the previous insult is in no way meant to you, there’s a big difference between just repeating (or in other words, reciting what’s been memorized) whatever a reviewer said, as opposed to actually thinking about it to formulate your own thoughts, based on how you feel about a certain story. You don’t like the episode, but that’s fine, because at least you came up with that conclusion on your own and took the time to discuss with others why you don’t seem to like it, just like most average human beings share their feelings in a healthy conversation.
There is no objective way of feeling about something and if we don’t agree, that’s just that, we feel differently about something. I for instance love home fries and want to punch anyone who tells me to buy fast-food fries, I’m actually serious about this too.. fuck fast-food fries, burn them in fire and invent a device that expels their noxious fumes into hell.
Fast-food in general is crap, but their fries/chips are just an insult to injury.
The original is better, but this has a hypnotic quality all its own. Not a bad job repurposing a classic clip.
@toxicitzi
I’m very conflicted about this episode; in general, I think it really works structurally, there’s some great scenes, and Iron Will is an entertaining and likeable antagonist. But there’s some stuff in the episode that really annoys me and sullies the experience of watching the episode, though I do realize that the problems I have with it are largely the result of my own personal preferences and quirks. So while, on the whole, it’s one of my least-favorite episodes of the series, I can fully understand how others love it.
Oh it’s mr enter?
But wait, why should we care?
I was initially going to say something about the topic, but I think you’ve made the stronger.. Nah. Rather, the STRONGEST! argument there was, currently is and will be.
episode is great, people who hate it have good reasons no matter what we think of them, they’re just sometimes bad at explaining it and other times especially bad at articulating what exactly the problems are in a way others would understand and so on.

Very likely.
