I’ve seen them spread the magic of friendship

Jungles and plains

Sometimes I think about stopping

The pain of losing them

So I think to myself  
“If I stop, maybe the pain will too…”
 
But then I see a rainbow glimmer  
A butterfly flits by me  
A vendor offers me an apple  
A little filly offers me a balloon  
And I remember  
They wouldn’t want me to stop  
They know that I still have work to do
 
“C’mon, Twilight, suck it up!”
 
“Shoot, sugarcube, y’all ’re tougher than that.”
 
“Listen to us, darling. We’re not gone quite just yet.”
 
“We’ll always be with you! It’s like a party in your heart!”
 
“Now get back out there and be the best princess you can be. Um, if that’s okay with you.”

How do you expect her to feel you heartless prick!? Everyone she loved grew old around her & eventually died! If you were given immortality & that happened to you, you’d be pretty upset too!

Your headcanon has single-handedly saved me from dissolving into a blubbering wreck. Kudos, yo.

The rainbows coming off the crystals in panel 3 aren’t in the right formation. The light source is clearly indicated from the upper left so there’s no ambiguity as to how it should be.
 
I think Twilight collapsing in tears in panel 4 is going a bit far. I don’t think the comic would be weaker if she were crying less extravagantly.

Though she may be the focal point of Destiny she couldn’t have gotten there with her friends. And as the Avatar is reborn into a new body and reincarnated, so too are the avatar’s friends.
