I didn’t the first time I read it. Then I read this comment. I broke my lungs.

And I certainly hope Pinkie’s little mirror pool party was worth it, because I can’t imagine the clean-up after a giant Pinkie-clone orgy went smoothly.

I think it’s more plausible if Dr Whooves is the time traveler here. He probably met Princess Twilight in the far future early in his quest through Equestria.
Two of the ponies in that circular loop of “had their first time with x” are time travellers (one confirmed in canon, one established in fanon).
