SkyWishes is an average young mare living in the Earth pony tribe, where she is often trusted with watching over foals too young to help with the farming while their parents and older siblings are out working. They all adore her, and she adores them, but secretly, SkyWishes is not entirely content with her life. A huge daydreamer, she has a secret wish to befriend a unicorn or pegasus, eager to learn about their strange customs and powers, but knows that this will be looked down upon by the other members of her tribe. Optimistic sometimes to the point of naivety, she refused to believe that either of the other two tribes were responsible for the great winter plaguing ponykind, and instead firmly believed that the true solution to the blizzard would be found in time. Incredibly lucky since childhood, SkyWishes believes that as long as she wishes for something long and hard enough, it will eventually come true.
 
Eventually, SkyWishes’ greatest wish came true: Shortly around the founding of Equestria (see? She told you they’d find another way!), she became friends with Lieutenant Star Catcher of the pegasus tribe (with only a small bit of hesitance on Star Catcher’s part). A few years younger than the pegasus, Star Catcher always looks out for SkyWishes and tries to make sure her naivety doesn’t get the best of her. In turn, SkyWishes makes sure the lieutenant remembers to have fun and always keep up hope in even the darkest of times. SkyWishes’ new biggest wish is for Star Catcher to teach her to be a, “cool, tough warrior” just like her.
