The joke is that they’re saying it about a person who enjoys the show, who’s an adult and a woman who enjoys MLP and pretty much created them.
Is it that they are saying all of that in the presence of their Mother who is sitting in front of them, so as to denounce the enjoyment and love they are feeling from all of the attention they are getting and she isn’t buying it?
Or was it that they were caught saying it and Fausticorn is angry?
The worried look on their faces makes me lean toward the former. I haven’t however seen the anime/manga it’s parodying so I couldn’t say for sure.
