Got it in one. “God” is the title of the leader of Skypeia, where the story takes place. Eneru (or Enel if you prefer) abused his powers and threatened to destroy Skypeia until Luffy and his merry band of pirates showed up.
I think you can still watch the Skypeia ark on Hulu for free, but don’t quote me on that.
Yeah, probably should have made it a Celly. Didn’t get to read OP till Enel’s appearance, but from what I can tell he’s referred to as a “God”.
Agreed on both points. They might have given the US children the television version of crack, I can never forgive them for the One Piece dub they did. It was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen, before or since.
Also, there should be a Celestia version of this pic somewhere. Hope the maker of this sketch is reading the comments!
4kids is was a terrible shitty company BUT if theres one thing that we must remember is that if it wasn’t for them we probably wouldn’t have grown up with pokemon and a lot of other good shows.
For that at least, we can thank them
