I have no idea.
…Headcanon accepted.
Maybe we’ll find something out about their fate in the upcoming Equestria Academy or the next Equestria Girls movie.
Because we never got to see a scene at the end of the movie where Sunset and the Mane Five help the Dazzlings turn their lives around and learn about friendship.
Yes while Sunset managed to get the heat off of her, Canterlot High are now giving the same crap to the Dazzlings. While this is a major consequence that they have to take, I don’t see why they can’t be redeemed. And while Sunset is still learning about friendship, I don’t see why she can’t be the one to help them learn too.
I don’t think they went to prison.
Why pity them? They had a Near Villain Victory before Sunset stepped in and finally brought their master plan down in flames and stripped them of their powers permanently.
Their attempt at singing again was desperation at hoping some of their power was left, but there wasn’t, and the students were none too happy at having been under another spell after being Sunset’s hypnotized slaves.
Now that Sunset had saved them, they accepted her, and turned all their old hatred for her on the Dazzlings, leading to them having to run off in defeat and disgrace, especially since they were no longer even sirens at all.
They at least earned some time in prison for their little terrorist act.
I’ve been feeling the same way ever since I saw this movie during the weekend.
I wish I could comfort them after their loss.
@Dirty Bit
I can see the Dazzlings doing some silly stuff if they ever come back but I wouldn’t compare them to Team Rocket of the Pokémon anime.
@SeraphimDawn
It would actually be funny to imagine them as Hasbro’s answer to Team Rocket, especially if they manage to do some good deeds on rare occasions.
And Sonata being scared of oranges?
I’m surprised Tirek wasn’t next to go XD
Then again, he was technically more powerful and it took a sealed MacGuffin to take him down…
With all the ambiguity as to whether or not he deserved it.
Sombra to this day, was the only bad guy to get killed.
I know. The only exceptions I can think of for the time being are Sombra and Tirek. I would have included Discord but due to his overinflated fan base, they decided to make him good.
Maybe, but that doesn’t mean every villain in the show should pull a complete 180 just because “Friendship is AWESEOM!!1!” I don’t think I’d be able to take this show seriously if that were case.
Yeah, maybe Meghan either didn’t have enough time to write about what happened to them or just plain forgot.
I hope they get redeemed soon.
@Bullet Surge
I don’t see why that’s a bad thing. The show’s main theme is friendship after all. Yes, there are some villains that will refuse to give up but a lot of the antagonists in Friendship is Magic have motivations that can be easily turned around in a good way.
I know. I mean, Discord was offered redemption, and he was an enemy before; as with Sunset Shimmer.
This turn of events surprised me.
