Caption says the quote’s addressed to Bon Bon, not Lyra, who’s playing.
Why?
Playing piano doesn’t make you the Piano Man…I don’t know what you mean by “in context”. I haven’t seen the movie if you’re talking about the context of the scene.
To be fair, Lyra is playing the Piano in the scene. A reference to “We Didn’t Start The Fire” wouldn’t have worked in context.
And hey, I know it’s old, but I really like the “Lyra likes humans” gag. Call it a guilty pleasure if you must…
