Probably not (go through with it, I mean). Maud probably couldn’t put up much of an argument, but if Trixie is okay with late night snuggles and enjoys biting Maud’s ear, simply pointing out her sister lives in Ponyville might be plenty to make Trixie reconsider.

Of course, it’s possible between this and the events of Magic Duel Maud and Trixie do talk about it more and Trixie resolves to focus simply on Twilight, but the alicorn amulet destroys her better judgement anyhow…
