Oh, I dunno. I kinda liked “Rarity the Enthusiastic Tourist” from this issue. It felt more like a side of Rarity we simply hadn’t seen before than her being glaringly out of character. Considering the midwestern-ish vibe of her parents too, it even sort of makes sense for her to have this secret part of her that loves traveling Equestria and visiting tacky tourist traps.
 
Besides, it’s alot more fun than just having her complain about her mane and getting her coat dirty all the time.

I know what you mean. But I was talking more about her portrayal in this exact comic. Her being ignorant about “hardwork” stuff is kinda cute actually.

I find her moments like this in the IDW comics too cute.

I don’t. She feels so… Out of Character and kinda… Pinkie-ish. Almost like they secretly wanted this comic to be an Applejack/Pinkie trip.

I like this “klutz” (if that’s the right word) Rarity that Cook and Price portray.

Not sure how true it is, but I’ve been told that if you want to tick off a Southerner you just have to ask them if they’re from Arkansas. There were dozens of profane jokes about just that in Pissing in the Snow and other Ozark Folktales by Vance Randolph.
