Should also add, I’m not a furry, as I haven’t ever been active in said fanbase, (my screen-name comes from an old “Star Fox” fan-character I used to have as a teen) but I do like some anthro’ art.
I don’t know, I’ve seen bronies hassle/bash furry/anthro’ fans to. I’ve seen bronies say “furries must dye,” and such. To say they’re making things up, is ignorant on your part. Heck, one brony here gave me crap just for being a Sonic fan.
In fact, the bronies used to demonize anthro’ pony fanart in the earlier days of the pony fandom. Some insisting we keep our fandom “pure” of “furry crap,” and such. The first time Equestria Daily featured an anthro’ pic in a “Drawfriend,” alot of commentators were angry, bashing it, and such. (Even though it was quite well-drawn.)
Not to mention, while I understand how crazy the Sonic fanbase can be sometimes, (being a Sonic fan myself) I’ve seen bronies bash Sonic fans to.

Then why do people keep saying they hate Sonic, and stuff on alot of the Sonic pics? (And not just the crappy ones, mind you, I’ve seen people troll, or try to start drama on even the “decent” Sonic pics.) Or why do pics like this >>496106 >>592202 get lots of upvotes? It’s not just because of bad artwork, alot of people here do hate Sonic, and I’ve seen people here say things like, “Sonic fans/fanart should be purged from Derpibooru.” Even if they’re kidding/trolling, it’s ironically behaving just like the people who hate bronies.
Not to mention, I’ve seen other crappy copy-and-paste, or badly-drawn images of other game series that don’t get nearly as much drama, downvotes, and such. Something about Sonic angers people here.
(I think some will never forgive him for the Sonic2006 game.)
Of course, as mentioned earlier some Sonic pics do manage to avoid the “Sonic drama” on this site, but only if they’re very very well-drawn.
And nobody hates sonic, only bad artwork. It just so happens that a lot of sonic crossover art that comes through here is troll quality
Still, those are mostly the older ones that get lots of upvotes, nowadays even the good, or just decent Sonic pieces get downvoted/trolled to hell. (The “Sonic flood” we got a few days ago, didn’t help things either.)
Also, I’ve seen badly-done Mario pics and such that don’t have as much “drama” in the comments, or as many downvotes as say most Sonic pics do, good, or bad, and I’ve seen mediocre crossover pics without lots of upvotes to.
Derpibooru dislikes Sanic for one major reason: A ton of the uploads are shitty MS-Paint troll posts or crappy jobs where people splice some vectors of the characters together and go ‘LOL MY URTS!”
See for yourself. Legit, quality Sanic posts get upvotes out the arse. It’s crap like where they take someone’s vector of Twilight and splice it into a scene of Shurdow so they kind of look like they’re kissing that people get pissed.
And news flash, people get pissed to almost the exact same extent when people make 100% pony posts to that effect.
It’s not Sanic, it’s that any crappily done crossover will get downvoted. Sanic is just doomed to score slightly less than a regular post by default due to people who simply aren’t fans of Sanic and crossovers. Sort of like how exploitable memes, no matter how genuinely funny and clever they are, score less by default because of how many people have them blacklisted.
And, as if to prove my point, notice how your use of someone else’s comic which you literally crossed out text to change the subtext is scoring poorly.
Similar here with sonic fans.
Furries on the other hand is “that one background pony has something to say about furries”
