It would make sense to call griffons’ hands claws too, or talons, instead of hands.
Minotaurs is where we really run into the issue though, but whether they call their hands hands or not wasn’t really said. But there isn’t really a convenient alternative for this species.
What makes this show good; Style, this show knows how to roll with it.
If it was a joke or something, it’s flawed. Not counting the multiple times the ponies have said hands, there are several sapient races in and around Equestria that have hands. Spike, for example.
I don’t hate it, but it was a tad annoying. (I still love the movie.)
