LOL! Are you kidding me? The writers love using Rarity and Applejack together, not because they’re such a great couple, but because they’re such polar opposites and don’t ususally get along well.

If it appears in show content in season 5, then it would be canon. But right now, it is not, and there’s no reason to think it will be (if any mane six lesbian ship is going to be canon it’ll almost invariably be Rarijack, as many of the writers on the show and comics clearly do and have admitted to enjoying writing the two together). Again, you’re missing the point of Ashleigh’s post, and turning it into something ridiculously trivial that nobody has any reason to believe is the case. This is about a lot more than shipping.

That isn’t confirming a ship. That’s Ashleigh Ball (who has nothing to do with writing the show mind you) taking a stand in support of the LGBT community. The pairing itself is inconsequential; she voices and is associated with these two characters so she’s elected to make a stance with them. That’s all.

A Twitter post like this has nothing to do with this pairing becoming canon in the show.

You mean the person who shows up, reads their lines, then goes home?

They can have any opinion on shipping they want because they don’t make the decisions.

Guys, BP#E625 is obviously a delusional AppleDash shipper who is not going to be swayed. Best ignore him, knowing he’s inevitably going to be disappointed as the episodes and the seasons march on.
