No argument here. Unless they FINALLY show a ‘Celestia is flawed’ episode for Twilight like they did in the comics with Spike, any question of her turning Twilight into an alicorn princess as anything but good in the show will seem completely heretical.
 
I couldn’t wrap my head around that ridiculous line either D: ‘The role I choose to have’!? Whether you love or hate the Princess Twilight Arc, this arc for her has NEVER been about choice. Between Crystal Empire, Magical Mystery Cure, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Twilight’s Kingdom, I can’t for the life of me tell which episode is more railroaded by Celestia and/or Discord for Twilight to go in the one direction that Celestia chooses for her. Between her inability to question anything Celestia says in the show and Celestia’s manipulation into making her the perfect daughter princess, its almost sickening on how little free will Twilight is given at all in her life.
 
This last comic was like a breath of fresh air. I want to see what SHE wants to do with her life, and act on it. Now THAT is a moral I can get behind.

A pity that dilemma is so very glossed over in the show. Besides, it’s not like she really had a choice or anything, despite her delusional declaration at the end of S4.

Looking at the number of comments, I thought there was going to be a huge discussion over Twilight actually having second thoughts over being a princess like Celestia wants, or being a unicorn sorceress like Star-Swirled the Bearded like SHE wants.

The fact that you can be so blatantly wrong about things is amusing. What roles, other than your lousy leftist tax levying? On one side we have Japan, South Korea, and America, while you have places like Soviet Russia, China, and Cuba on the other. Tough choice there.

@mirageandjazz1197 Look at the ridiculous amount of social change and completely and utterly new governmental styles that popped up during the mid-1800s to the early 1900s.  
Why is it with such craven disregard for their people modern governments aren’t facing the same kind of upheaval despite being even further from understanding their populace?  
My guess is they are loving how the internet de-toothed actual activism, despite enabling far faster and easier communication, because it encourages the public to fight amongst themselves rather than rally together and march on the capitol as they once did.

I agree democracy is stupid and no needed and i do hate the government for not doing anything to my step father after he has abused me for years and for my best friend and his sister being taken away from his mom for something his dad did.
