The newcomer, an orange pegasus with a dull red mane, looked into her eyes. Im not hostile unless you are. he said, his warm voice a contrast to his stern words and tone. Emmy failed to notice a faint glow around one of his hooves, being too focused on his face. Was he mean or not?  
Last time I checked I wasnt! she said quickly, hoping to defuse the situation with this territorial stallion.  
Fortunately for her, he relaxed somewhat at her words, his wings going back to his sides. Then what exactly are you doing here? And who are you? he asked, far less nasty than before.  
Im Emerald Rush, you can call me Emmy! she told him, smiling. And, well, I was in the area looking for herbs and then I saw that doll over there.  
And you came over to it. He finished for her, relaxing completely, the unseen glow fading from his hoof as he sat down, motioning for her to do the same. So, why were you herb hunting? he asked, as he plucked a leaf from a nearby flower and popped it into his mouth, chewing with pleasure.  
I need them to brew some potions, simple as that. She told him, sitting down as well with a soggy squish. She didnt mean to be so short with him, but it was a pretty stupid question, after all.  
He, in turn, made no comment on her snippy answer. I see. What herbs were you searching for? he said, looking at her with interest.  
Rosemary, Wormwood, Horehound, and Wild Mint. She answered, tapping one of her hooves against the ground as she ran through the list.  
I have those in my gardens, if you would like to join me for afternoon tea. He invited, smiling. I apologize for my seeming harshness before, but more often than not the visitors I get out here are hostile. So long as you mean no harm, you are welcome in my home.
