Rarity’s movement and that of the needle were edited with bits of surrounding frames to make it more natural. The whole animation is actually 5 loops of nearly identical frames (for Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack) otherwise the needle would “jump”.

I might still have the source files (ie, the script for generating the gif) for this around, if so it shouldn’t be too hard to make a different caption. There is also a textless gif version linked in the description, but I’ll see about uploading at least a (maybe also higher resolution) webm of it if I have the time.
Updating would be nice, but I still like WiiU personally. I found it rather underappreciated by fans, and underutilized by developers.
There’s also things the WiiU can do that the Switch doesn’t.
Such as being backwards compatible with previous Wii games, and controllers, (I kinda hate having to pay $50+ for new controllers every new console. Switch Joycons are really overpriced) and the Virtual Console. (Which is nice for those whom actually want to download/own the games, rather then stream them online.) Not to mention it has more video aps, an internet browser, and stuff.
I also kinda like WiiU’s menu layout better then the dull “one line of icons” PS4-esc layout the Switch has. I wish the Switch had more options, like folders, and stuff so you can more easily organize & access your games like on WiiU, or 3DS. As opposed to having one line of icons you have to cycle through from most recently played games.
It also kinda annoys me that icons for the physical card cartridge games stay on the menu even after the cartridge is removed, making it even more cluttered. There’s no point to those staying on screen if you can’t access the game without the cartridge.
The controversial touchscreen controller wasn’t that bad either, (frankly it’s more like a traditional controller then the Wii-mote was) and kinda ideal for porting PC games, so it’s a shame developers didn’t capitalize on that.

In all seriousness, I think that’s really cool what you’re going to do, but I wouldn’t blame you for switching back and forth between the 2 of them, using Windows for certain things and Linux for others. It’s hard boycotting things and using alternatives exclusively. I despise what Google does to China and some of their other business practices for instance, so I only ever use their search engine if duckduckgo doesn’t find what I’m looking for, and I use protonmail instead of Gmail. That said, I failed at boycotting YouTube because it’s such a big fixture in my life. (I even have my own channel, I don’t want to completely abandon it.)
In a ideal commercial world competition makes for better consumer products, I like the Switch and the PS4, and I’m going to make a really hard push to get rid of Microsoft products from my life and try going Linux for good. Hopefully it lasts longer than 2 months before I cave in and load Windows 10 back on to my desktop…

Can confirm, technically and practically Linux and Windows are both PC OSs. On a technical level, Macintoshes are too, but practically they’re “ICs” because they cost so much and are so hard to work on yourself compared to PCs that they’re impersonal computers instead of personal ones.
Anywho I’d like to see this image updated to have the Nintendo Switch Where the Wii U is. I think it’s more fitting since the switch is actually a really nice and competitive little system. As a soon-to-be switch owner, I will be happy to watch Microsoft and some duke it out while I try out the Switch and its library of portable games. (I’m a PS4 lover already and the more competition from microsoft, the more sony gets pushed into making their systems and services better. So please by all means fight tooth and nail guys, who knows, the competition might even make Nintendo ramp up their competition too, although so far they’re pretty much like pinkie pie here, oblivious and doing their own thing this generation.)

My thoughts would be that PC users are generally used to tweaking and fixing their PC to get it run their games well…
What I’ve personally seen from Apple fanboys is that as long as the app is built explicitly to Apples standards of quality then things will run smoothly, as soon as you deviate from Apples vision…
All fags, PC, Nintendo, Sony and especially Apple ones, are a bunch of annoying cunts.
I don’t know where you’re quantifying that about PCs, but I can show you to the official forums of Sony, Nintendo or Apple to prove my point of a cesspool of super fans, instead of a place of discussion, where the only correct answer everytime is, the user is wrong and the company is always right.
You won’t see that on PC except in self made titles, like the PC master race, which is usually ironic.

Are you kidding me? Nintendofags are the most annoying and spoiled brats around every place I go. Not only they think their consoles and franchises are the best thing ever,they also defend and damage control every decision their idolized company makes, even though they make awful decisions like that YouTube creators partnership and the region locking.
Also, Nintendo’s online infrastructure is really terrible and poor. It’s like they want to brag themselves to always be innovative and “thinking outside the box” while they can’t implement something as simple as a decent online service, while their competitors are way ahead of them.
