Yeah true, I was thinking about when the writing actually occurs and then the animation and everything else, makes sense when you break it down, I just wasn’t entirely sure.
All is good.
The show staff has said that EQG had nothing to do with any long season gaps, nor did it have anything to do with season 3’s reduced length. And they’ve also said that if EQG got a spinoff TV show (which that “Canterlot Academy” thing might very well be), they’d be able to work on both that and FiM evenly, without either show interfering with the production of the other.
It’s probably just because animation tends to take a year to produce (note that many episodes are written at least a year-and-a-half prior to their actual air date, then it has to go through the fine-tuning, recording the voice acting, and all the arduous steps of the animation process).
Also, not sure if this is correct, but was the large gap between S3 and 4 partly due to EQG and is it the same case with now with EQG 2?
I’ve always said that as long as EQG remains its own thing and doesn’t negatively affect FiM, I have no issues with it, but lengthening a season gap even more, not a fan of that if true.
Yep, same here.
About the same deal here, really. I myself actually even prefer Princess Twilight to her unicorn self.
That’s true. Heck, I even legitimately enjoyed the first Equestria Girls (though it’s certainly a deeply flawed film), and I’m willing to give Rainbow Rocks a shot.
I’ve never had any issues with Princess Twilight or the Rainbow Power designs either, I love where the show is right now, people that complain typically just have a louder voice, doesn’t mean they’re the majority.
Now she needs to do some Rainbow Powered stunts.
