Puppet*
A ragdoll is a physics-based skeleton given procedural animation, typically used to provide physics to killed NPCs or other soft-body entities in video games.
A puppet, which may or may not have ragdoll capabilities, is a skeleton that is designed to enable a user to give it predefined or custom animation. If a puppet has a mass and collision layer, one or more parts can be given ragdoll physics while others are given specific movement patterns, or a hybrid of the 2 allowing for more dynamic and natural movement, otherwise a puppet is merely a collection of segments, they may have fixed positions or rotation points or be free-moving. The movement of the puppet will rely entirely on the users input, which in mlpfim, is always the case, aside from the use of tweens. most animation is entirely user-modified puppeteering, tweens are not physics.
Don’t ask me why i typed all this, I like to type things, i also took it as an opportunity to test my own knowledge, so you can disregard everything except the bits in bold.
typical ragdoll glitch :)
