I know. But it’s just frustrating when twilight has been made so op it’s not even funny I don’t hate Twi but I’d like to see Celestia have to save her. That’s one thing that’d be a nice creative twist… Another would just be her in the daily life of Celestia… No epic canon shattering backstory just a funny slice of life episodes full of Canterlot shenanigans…

I never said she was a liar. And I hadn’t found the fandom when that was apparently was going on. There isn’t much I’m not ok with. I like Equestria Girls for pony’s sake.

It doesn’t help that this is the only season where Celestia doesn’t have a single on-screen appearance.

I agree Celestia need development but I’m sick of all the pointless and groundless blaming of McCarthy that keeps showing up, the “don’t believe her lie” is wrong as she never lied but just said very little and people took it to mean the wrong things but if you look it over she technically told us nothing but the truth.

And I do apologize for the inflammatory comment but it’s frustrating that after four seasons Celestia still hasn’t had an episode or even so much as decent character development. And inb4 the “the shows not about Celestia” thing… That may be true but neither is the show about discord, Luna (and I love Luna) the CMC, spike or anypony else, they still get more screen time and a more positive portrayal than Celestia has.
 
They’re secondary characters too and the shows not about them either
 
Now it’s more than likely she’ll be killed off in the finale (my assumption), and I ask what else am I supposed to think if all she’s been is a punching bag. It’s just depressing and infuriating that my favorite character is just wasted…

I doubt it that would require some effort and creativity on the part of Meghan McCarthy. Which she’ll invariably go for the “punch Celestia in the face and make twilight jesus” route
 
It also requires her not hating Celestia which everyone who is a Celestia fan ought to know that McCarthy hates Celestia with a passion.
 
It seems like this will be the episode where Meghan gets to kill Tia off. She did say that the s4 finale was her proudest moment after all… ;(

Celestia reminds me of the DJ in Jet Set Radio

I always figured Celestia was doing stuff off screen while her protege and her friends handled the grunt work, the way a ruler should be doing things.
 
I mean, you don’t expect presidents, kings and queens to personally handle disasters and stuff. Their subordinates are probably much more capable or experienced than they are.
 
In addition, I’m of the opinion Celestia is like Optimus Prime in Transformers Rescue Bots. Much more powerful than the cast, but the cast is generally able to handle whatever problem crops up and so their personal intervention is unnecessary. Only when things get really, really bad do they take action.
 
Celestia’s main disadvantage compared to Optimus is that in Rescue Bots, Optimus is unknown to virtually everybody outside of the team, while Celestia is known to be ruler of Equestria and thus an easily identifiable target that needs to be removed.So if you’re a villain wanting to take over, you need a plan to take her out either before you begin, or early in the plan before she brings her power to bear.

Actual reason why Celestia wasn’t mentioned: That would require actually acknowledging her existence.

If I will put my two cents in here:
 
With all these disasters that appear over the course of the show, one would expect complaints, if not threats for outright rebellion because of the instability of the country. That begs the question: How is this not the case? Well I do believe the simple answer is this: Celestia is busy calming the masses. Think about it: Celestia was a clear stability for Centuries, and she, being by far the eldest, knows how ponies think and just what to say. Luna doesn’t have that privilage, because she’s a thousand years out of touch, Twilight was only recently crowned princess, and Cadance also only recently has a kindom. Nopony’s better fit for that job.
 
That said, it is sometimes amusing tho think all Celestia does is get a hooficure. :D

I was blending in with the joke as well. I just didn’t know that the Crystal Empire and Equestria are different kingdoms. But, then I remembered they both have different rulers. So, yeah my argument is invalid. Therefore, I’m unsubscribing this and letting this pic be. Have a nice day.

It’s just that for once I’d like to see Celestia actually helping Twilight and the other princesses and element bearers without some excuse why should couldn’t and I’m pretty sure that’s what the finale for this season’s going to do for me.

It happened over several days actually and Luna has been shown to be perfectly capable of working during the day seeing as she has come out several times now.  
Hell, if you take the show at face value Luna has never been shown actually doing anything during the night other that the dream thing which she could probably do during her sleep.

With Nightmare Moon it was implied she was captured.  
With Discord she said only the elements could stop them, she no longer cantroles them.  
With Chrysalis she did try to fight but was over powered.  
With black vines she was ensnared by them almost as soon as the whole thing started.  
How was she meant to do more?

Alright fine then. Soon to be five major threats to Equestria. (cough Season Finale) But that still doesn’t make up for the Celestia hardly does jack s**t about any of them.
