Oh, I was just imagining the story of FiM, retold with a heavy FMA influence. Therefore, I made the Winry/Applejack connection because of their dead parents. For example, I was still picturing AJ as the same applebucking farm pony we know and love, but with the added twist of her parents’ deaths being the result of foul play. Whether they were killed by an injured fugitive, who was in a delirious frenzy; or executed by Spitfire/Soarin’ (haven’t decided which one, I’m just making this up as I go along) for aiding enemies of the state.

@SemiJuggao This DeviantArtist, arteses-canvas, has a very rich collection of Anthro art picturing which characters are better suited (Applejack being Olivier and Cadence being Winry), and I’m basing my own art on them! Which doesn’t mean that I can’t change my mind, Applejack as Winry is a rather appealing idea!

Oh, no… This is going to wind up leading to Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor going on an epic adventure to reclaim what they lost. Along the way, Twilight discovers the Magic of Friendship, despite being a soul bonded to a suit of armor. Depending on what you’ve heard, two things could happen…

  1. A typical happily ever after type of ending, but it manages to tie up almost all loose ends in the story.

  2. A cliffhanger ending, followed by a grand finale movie, with a bittersweet ending. However, several loose ends are left untied and Applejack never receives proper closure for the death of her parents.

BTW, Even though I used Applejack as a stand-in for Winry, it’s only because they both have dead parents.
