if you base your knowledge of any genre in whats mainstream we would get:
rock: sad boys talking about how girls dont want them and crying.
pop: underage teens either talking about fashion, girl/boyfriends, and internet memes.
metal: [SCREAMING INTENSIFIES]
electronic music: play a blender and record.
People who hate on rap are the type of people that base their knowledge of a genre from what they hear on the radio lol

I fundamentally dislike the concept that is rapping as a form of anything besides comedy
because rapping isnt melodic, and rappers dont harmonize, but really, they have no reason to do that.
Yeah, I agree 100% here. Though in my experience it’s not as hard as it used to be finding good music, Pandora Radio has pretty much solved that problem. FM/AM radio kinda sucks now as well, rarely find a good song there as well…but hey the rare find is always nice as well.
its never easy to find good songs nowadays of any genre in the mainstream, the thing is, dont fish in the beach, go further, there are rappers like hopsin or common, or from what i heard inmortal technique.
if you ignore some of eminem hateful songs you can find some real gold pieces like sing for the moment, the way i am and deja vu.
just ignore rappers like lil wayne, sellouts that rap about nothing important, and drake who dont really seem to have good flows at all.
That’s fine, but after that they sing songs about degrading women, flaunting their dicks like it matters, guns, drugs, money, more women abuse, and even more drugs and guns…
It’s so rare to find a song NOT about that or what you just mentioned…that’s the problem I feel that rap has, it’s like the AAA industry…so much crap that you need to dig to find the gems among the mess…
you cant blame them for growing in shitholes, they just rap about what they lived, like most other singers.
I just don’t care for it even as a concept.
I like my singers to, you know, sing. Not recite profanity-laden poetry.
