I’d just assume the moon is bigger in the ponyverse.
Anyway, I know that crescent moons are often drawn like that. But it bugged me even when I was a kid.
I mean, it’s not like I’m blind and I can’t see how lunar phases evolve?!
Maybe this is a depiction of a would-be future lunar eclipse, except the moon has drifted too far away from the earth.
