Try looking. Sure the cloak is the wrong color and there’s no bells, but a popular coat color for Star Swirl is grey.

And I think this comic was already approved and in its way to the printer before the episode aired that portrayed starswirl as white.
Many would say this is a parody made by Discord(Note the snapping fingers), so it’s inadmissible as evidence to that argument.
It could have been a title for the royal spellmaker back in Unicornia, which after generations lost it’s meaning and ponies today believes that it was only one pony.
We could have books created in the Renaissance glorifying it and make ponies believe it was something it originally wasn’t.
