The chicken joke was never funny and anyone who encourages it should be ashamed.
That wasn’t flying, that was a jump. She was on her scooter when Rainbow Dash flew by and lifted her (and all of Ponyville) into the sky. For a moment, Scootaloo thought she was flying, but fortunately karma brought the chicken back where she belonged.
