We were writing on the basis of of horses having a lifespan of 40 years.
Just like real life horses.
Think of it as 70~80 human years.
It’s a character tic.
In this context he’s lost all of his energy and enthusiasm. Sad as shit.
Kinda depressing, considering I turned 40 a few months ago.
