I totally chalk up Granny Smith being multi-100 years old as the writers just forgetting they said Ponyville is 100s of years old in a previous season.
 
As for the lack of aging in younger characters, this is a animated show, characters rarely shift in appearance like that because it’s easier to simply keep the same character model rather then just changing the size by a bit every arbitrary amount of episodes.
 
My main problem is that all the evidence is subtle and merely hinting at. MLP is a bunch of things but subtle it ain’t, all previous things have held obvious pay off, I feel like if ponies did live extremely longer lives the humans do, it’d be brought up plainly at least once, but it hasn’t.

That said, the evidence does point against ponies (at least in the conditions we see in the show) aging very rapidly compared to humans. Apart from Granny Smith’s age, there’s Cranky and Matilda, the various cases of ponies being seen or mentioned in flashbacks while still appearing young in the present, and the lack of visible aging of the younger characters in the present.

And who cares how often they’ve been brought to the brink of ruin if they never go over. Not to mention they’re not in a perpetual state of war like we are, don’t commit horrific acts of violence against one another, get along fine with the other races in their world, and almost everyone seems happy and healthy. So yeah, by any definition you may choose to use their world is way better then ours.
