…And a bereaved or dying Cadance could theoretically still lay a curse upon the land, that there be no love at all to steal (or share, for that matter). Her people are still starving to death anyway, having nothing to show for their conquest.
If we’re gonna go maximum crapsack, might as well go all the way to “Dark Souls” level at least.
Alicorn’s are not the only ones who can raise the sun. If regular Unicorns can do it I see no reason why she can’t.
Also killing off her food source, like Canterlot = everypony, at most she is destroying the epicenter of the pony command structure.
Discord however that is Deus Ex Boring. Maybe she has some Kryptonite or somethin to move the plot along.
Not only is she doing the original’s tidally locking the planet, releasing Discord, and ticking off the Alicorn in charge of their food and power source. She’s also killing off all available love sources.
