Given the show we’re talking about, I’d say it’s definitely a case of YMMV

Can’t we just blame Spitfire’s first two appearances on a case of the dreaded first-season-itis?
Yeah, a little. But they aren’t exactly… habitual about it. 3 of the 5 episodes they’ve been in had them be relatively supportive, and it wasn’t until “Wonderbolts Academy” that they started to be jerks. Even then, “Wonderbolts” can be excused
as Spitfire having a drill sergeant persona necessary for what is essentially military. This episode though… did take it a little far.
