To be fair the spinning tops do contain monsters. I mean they can’t actually harm anything other than other monsters and you can pretty much stop them entirely by knocking the top over but still.

Funny enough, the Japanese version of the anime have Bandit Keith pointing a gun at Pegasus after losing to Joey, too bad he didn’t expect the trap door. Also, Pegasus’s goons was pointing a gun at Keiba earlier.
