I honestly don’t have much hope. I would HOPE it would look better in animated form (like how the original Equestria girl images we got looked alot worse than what we finally got), but I’m not hopeful.
 
Some of them aren’t bad: Twilight for example looks decently natural. But all the other images I’ve seen have looked rather bad.
 
Which is sad because I HAVE seen artists change the stuff up a little and end up with legitimately good looking rainbow power images: but they do so by cutting out alot of the stuff which has been shown on the vectors, like certain color lines, ect.

Cutie pox is a pony getting so many different special talents, and the urge to do them all at once involuntarily. Not fun.
 
Rainbow power seems to be more of a super saiyan/ magical girl transformation, most likely temporary. (It is hard to animate multi coloured things).

So lets see here:  
Cutie pox treats uncontrolled cutie marks appearing on your body as a terrible thing.
 
Now, unironically, the mane six are being covered in a veritable cancer of their cutie marks as a good thing :/
