Just wanted to post a comment regarding a certain suggestion on Equestria’s defense:  
To everyone saying that the Crystal Heart will protect Equestria, it won’t work. Why? Because that thing is already protecting a kingdom-the Crystal Empire. So, if somepony were to take it and use it to defend Equestria…well, let’s just say that the Crystal Ponies are Bucked.

Why not? Friendship between government agencies, between the government and its citizens, between the United States and reformers in the Arab world: all these things can help to prevent terrorist attacks and bring extremists to justice.

Well friendship and love have repelled villains before. {Nightmare Rarity and Sombra.}
 
And the Crystal Empire is pretty much safe from any threats, what with the Crystal Heart.
 
And we have the Alicorns, who can deal a punch.
 
The main six {Excluding Fluttershy} could hold their own in a fight.
 
We could actually SEE the Equestrian army do something.
 
And there’s a lot of magical artifacts that could help.
