In my headcannon, Applejack in that picture is surprised and selfconcious because King Sombra took her instead of somepony more regal like Rarity or powerful like Twilight.

I still believe that Rarity is a far better shipping match for Sombra. Also, shouldn’t Sombra be far taller and a lot more muscular?

The Tastiest
Is sombrajack a thing now? I kinda have a thing for it now. The whole appeal of a powerful, evil figure being enamored and redeemed by a simple country gal seems kinda interesting.
