I was making a pun. The word I was referring to is “Grippe” which is indeed an old word for influenza. So it’s an obscure pun, but still a pun.
Not that I’ve been able to find, in most european languages it means (either nothing) or a bunch of fruit , most notably grapes.
Isn’t that an old term for the flu?
