“Neigh.”
“Good pony.”
I’ve got to remember when comparing irl horse/irl ponies to equestrian ponies to use irl/equestrian or it gets damn confusing >.<
Oh I thought you mean RL ponies. Not our colorful and magical talking versions. My mistake.
Can you think of anything they regularly do that seems like horse like behavior? I can’t think of anything they do regularly that’s a trait of any mammal except humans. Twilight’s acted like a cat before, they also signal emotions/feelings with their ears which I know a lot of dogs do but I don’t think horses do. (when they do when they show their teeth and pull their ears back when they’re angry, but I don’t think equestrian ponies do that xD ) They don’t sleep standing up (aside from that one time AJ fell asleep standing) which horses do most of the time plus it’s safe to assume equestrian ponies have sleep requirements like humans instead of horses. Basically, if you go down the list they don’t behave like horses any more than you behave like an ape.
>they act like virtually any other species besides a horse
Wait… what? Ponies don’t act like horses? But they’re, like, related.
Yep pretty much.
Hell, you can add birds to the list considering Pegasi.
When they act equine like it’s usually very subtle, frankly behaviorally they’re virtually identical to humans (in a broad sense) and when they act like a different species they act just as much like dogs/cats as irl horses. As BG pony said, when they behave animal like it’s whatever is cutest.
Depending on whichever behavior is cutest at the time.
“Act” rather than “look”.
There were some equine behaviors in season 1, but they weren’t terribly so.
>look like horses
That’s debatable, but aside from what they eat they act like virtually any other species besides a horse.
“Throw dog treats at her.”
“How will that help?”
“I’ll find it hilarious.”
