I pretty much ignored how it’s attached because wing armour is generally bullshit. Any covering would mean los of flight.
In the fic itself, the wings are armoured on top and open below…. but that means attaching the armour to the front of the wing, limiting movement.
That said, the pegasus enclave use powered suits, derived from ranger armour. It’s also partly magical, like ranger armour.
I’ve never been able to figure out a way to attack rigid armor that wouldn’t either injure the wings, or prevent them from flapping. Flexible sheathes would be less problematic, but attaching them without messing with the feathers would still be a pain in the rump.
I honestly can’t tell how the armor in this picture is attached to the wing. Glue is the only solution that comes to mind.
