Oh Mass Effect 3, as much as I enjoyed you, you really aren’t as good a game as the other two. Your introduction feels disconnected from where #2 left off; you turned the Normandy into a dimly lit, unfinished mess; you rarely let us visit alien home-worlds more than once, and when you do I have no idea where the areas are in relation to one another; your romances are, much like everything else, half-assed and rushed; your side-missions are either boring, tedious fetch quests or mindless shooting galleries that, honestly, feel exactly like the “main” missions, and they ultimately have no bearing whatsoever on the ending; your journal interface is useless in all but name; your villains are hokey, your heroes are ham-fisted, and you ruin several good characters by making outside references a mainstay in their personalities; your so-called “extended cut” only addresses a few inconsistencies, should have been a patch instead of dlc and, even though I didn’t think it was possible, makes me hate the Catalyst even more.
 
Where has gone the Bioware capable of writing satisfying villains, gripping stories and well-rounded companions? I know not these doppelgangers who have hijacked the most promising sci-fi trilogy since Star Wars (4-6) and turned her into a whore for their profit. You did not need to sell yourselves to EA, you had the fans. You did not need to swamp us with microtransactions, a quality product sells itself. To close, I quote from Metallica’s King Nothing: “And it all crashes down, and you break your crown, you point your finger, but there’s no one around. Just want one thing, just to play the king, but the castle’s crumbled and you’re left with just a name. Where’s your crown, King Nothing? Where’s your crown?”

Don’t blame Biowear blame EA and their tight deadlines for game releases. major story rewriting just to get it out on release day.
