The shorts were similar, but the characters retained more or less their personalities from the old show, rather than the distorted versions from the new one, so that could be a factor.
But while we’re on the subject of DC Nation shorts, anyone else think a Super Best Friends Forever show would be one of the best things in the history of things?
@GLord
I cared less about Young Justice than I did about Green Lantern: The Animated Series. That’s the one I was really unhappy to lose.
@Background Pony #FBB9
I’ll grant that it can be pretty stupid, but it’s funny, so I guess I can live with it.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK, JACKASS!
Well. One’s called SparkleFace and the other’s patterned on FireFly from G1, which became a pretty colorful main character this time round.
And people fucking love to draw pictures of those two engaged in lesbian horse sex.

I second this
I was a little butt hurt when I heard about it, I’ll admit.
But I also lol’ed quite a bit as well.
I think Young Justice being cancelled attributed to said shit flipping as well.
Two things about the “New teen titans” shorts made them more appealing to me than Teen Titans Go!: one, the traditional animation, and two, the fact that they built on the continuity of the old series and kept the characterizations consistent. But that’s personal opinion, and I’m glad there’s people who like the new series.
(And I can’t deny that the Trigon episode of TTG! was hilarious.)
This.
I loved the Teen Titans series from a decade ago, and I can appreciate that Teen Titans Go! is generally funny and pretty well animated. The fact that they pretty much disregard the characterization of the earlier series when it’s convenient for the sake of comedy is enough to keep me from watching it regularly, but I’m not going to say it’s awful as a result.
I think they rerun some episodes to much though like “Ghost Boy.”
Except I find TTG hilarious.
I’ll forever use this as an illustration of a overly comical spoof that did nothing but twist and mock the source material and didn’t get its fans nearly as butthurt as TTG haters.
Agreed, and I don’t care if she was more faithful to the comics, that “Terra-rized” episode was a middle finger to us past generation of fans.
