And Crackle was hatched by a green unicorn during an even rarer phenomenon than the Sonic Rainboom. It was caused by Derpy, and became known by the few who witnessed it as “The Sonic Derpboom”.

Oh my… I just realized that if that is the case, dragons hatched by unicorns are abandoned some time after being hatched. Which would make their attitude toward ponies be a lot more than just arrogance, and make Spike’s fear of Twilight sending him away a lot more justified…
