From the new update:
New ponies for the Canterlot side. And a theater building; one for Ponyville and one for Canterlot.
The new set of missions focuses on Sunset Shimmer and the other is Octavia’s band.
The missions are pretty much the same as the other ones. Expect boredom.
HOWEVER! The little tidbits from the missions provide some interesting info.
On Sunset Shimmer’s chain of missions. It seems like she and Twilight are both very studious (I guess that’s a requirement for being Celestia’s student)
Both twinkle butt and sun butt don’t care about friendships and would rather study (That’s until boss sun butt forces twinkle butt to get some friends)

Celestia doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake that she did for Sunset Shimmer. Anyways Equestria Girls is open to public in a couple of days. So we’ll get the official story of Celestia’s other failure, Sunset Shimmer (first one was Luna >:(

Ehh… Not really her backstory. I just assumed it because the game talks about how Celestia’s getting worried about what’s gonna happen to Shimmer since all she does is read books and nothing else. Well the official story becomes available in a few days via movie.
