The way they used it in the show? Yeah. But in general the grappler thing would be useful, especially for stuff like salvage operations and stuff.

I liked the show / characters…but the whole concept of the Grappler ships was just stupid as all hell. Now…if the ship completely transformed ala The Macross - it would have been epic. But…a rocket ship with arms? No.
