Description
Emerald says that he understands what she is feeling, but that he really wants to know. He needs to know. Despite that though, if it’ll hurt Joyride he understands if she doesn’t want to go through with it. She is clearly in a lot of pain about this, and it’s not like he would have found out any of this without her anyway. She doesn’t really owe him anything.
“Tch…” Joyride says after a short pause. She then points right at him and continues, “I feel the guilt trip, lil’ perv. You’ll make a good mother. I guess I can at least go through the test for your sake, though don’t you tell me the answer alright? This is just for you.”
Emerald nods and asks what DNA even is and how it’ll help her find out if he is related to Sunshine.
“It’s kinda complicated and I still don’t quite get it.” Joyride says with a shrug, “It’s science from a dimension way ahead of ours. It’s basically a blueprint for a pony or something. Anyway give me one of your hairs, and one of Ruby’s as well. Saliva is fine too, or we can get it in a more fun way.”
The pair finish eating soon after and decide to walk around the small village a little bit before returning back to #304 Coursewalk. In an oddly kind gesture, Joyride buys some food for Ruby to go.
Emerald asks what Sunshine’s focus was.
“She had a wand. She was rather fond of phallic shaped objects.” Joyride says with a burp, “Not that she ever used it in a fun way. It had good length, but it’s girth left something to be desired.”
Emerald could have done without that last bit of information.
