Princess Skye was once the Princess of the Pegasi long before pony kind was unified, now she is the spirit of air, much in the same way Discord is the spirit of chaos, she embodies the freedom of the air itself, capable of retaining her physical form on the living plane, and even able to change her visible age whenever she desires, one of the perks of being granted the title of a spirit of an element.
