Before and after the major war (not going to say too much of what happens there here, you’ll have to wait for the comic)
But during the war pinkie helped by infiltrating the enemy base, but ended up in the crosshairs of what was pretty much a grenade. This caused her to have a big scar going up from her left hoof up to her face, also calling her left eye to be blind.
