Backstory: Ivy Quill is Jasmine Angelcake’s best friend. They both bonded over their love of writing, except Ivy is into horror stories while Jasmine is into romance stories. Despite their differences, they made very good partners and have collaborated several times. Ivy is also the cousin of Raven and is one of the few ponies who accepts Raven’s jinx. Ivy has developed an irrational phobia of romance after having a nightmare about their crush getting together with someone. As a result, they write horror stories to cope with it. Ivy aspires to become a witch, creating dark magic for good instead of evil.

I had this OC in mind after getting inspired by a Pee-wee Herman fanfic writer on AO3 who used to have a similar name. I also decided to project a little bit of myself onto this character by having them write horror stories and be afraid of romance.
