Background:
He ends up inheriting the farm, being the youngest of a very famous family it kinda ended up that way. Not to say he wasn’t important, just a small town important, he never left the town he grew up in, but was the one to create the Autumn Festival.
While he never got his cutie mark he was good with children, in autumn when the foals were out of school, he’d employ them to help collect the autumn harvest. And at the end he’d host a week long dinner for them, their family and friends to come and celebrate a job well done. Eventually it got so popular that the other ponies hosted other celebrations around the dinner to the point where it became a feasible lasting two weeks starting when it was time to harvest and ending the last day of the dinner party.
This is where he meets his wife, Pumpkin butter and her son, Bear butter, and they hit it off right away. Bear took to Maple like bees to honey and was largely the reason they got together, they had come to the town because they heard of the feasting that unfortunately they missed by a few days. Maple struck them a deal, that if they could help out during the winter, they had a home and food all long as they needed. Time flies and while they never announced it they started dating throughout the years and eventually were expecting. Maple had been trying for years to marry her but never found the right time. It wasn’t until she was half way out the door in hysterics did he ask her why she didn’t wanna marry him.
She was a time traveler, mostly by accident. And she wanted to go back but she also wants to stay here with him. So while they waited for a magic way back to her time she got married, and she missed her other family. She loved her new family just as much. Maple never let her go a day without knowing she was loved and him and bear got along like a song.
