CC: What about the ugly ones?
Filly: You’re silly. There are no ugly ponies.
CC: But I’m not a pony. I’m a cat, as you can plainly see.
Filly: Then you’re the prettiest kitty I’ve ever seen.
CC: … what’s your name, filly?
Filly: My name is Heart Thread, my special talent is making hearts feel better.
CC: Thank you, Heart Thread.
They say that a kind word turns away wrath, and the little filly will never know that she had just saved a lot of ponies from horrible heartache. Although, she would never forget that strange mare she met in the woods.
Carnival Cat, on the other hand, couldn’t stop thinking about the filly and her innocent fascination with a creature such as her. She long considered and herself to be beautiful, at least that’s what she told herself ever day, but to hear it from someone else made her think back. When she was a filly herself, she never imagined her life would turn out like this. And so she sat in the forest for many days, pondering over what had happened for things to become like this.
I’ll admit, my rendition of Carnival Cat is a little complicated.
